Maybe to the surprise of many here, but I want to sell the Dave Murphy modded Vostok Amphibia though want to keep it IN the brotherhood of the WFWF, so to say.
I want to keep the price very affordable as if I ship it, there will be an extra amount going on top of this, because of mainly international shipping. € 150
The story about this watch: Dave Murphy, a former member of the WalletFriendly Watch Forum of old, bought these watches new to fit his self made bezels on it. After a while, he had the stainless steel bezels ready and did not need the watches anymore, so offered them to his watch bro's on the forum. I was one of the buyers but asked him, knowing he has much interesting tools and equipment in his workplace, if he could bead blast the case, and extra modding so to speak. He agreed. Thus I also asked if he could use the same bead blast for a new bracelet to attach instead of the folded Vostok thingie that is standard for these watches. I send him the link to the site, he ordered it (and that price was just on top of the watch) and bead blasted that too for a uniform look. He made sure that he send it in parts as 'watch parts' so that the import tax did not have to be in order. (Nowadays much different)
He also put the by me preferred coke inlay in the Murphy bezel.
As for Time Zone grading scale, I'd say between it is “Near Mint” and “Mint” as there is a very faint swirl on the case in the bead blast finish (last picture). Same with the “glass” which is a breeze to polish with some with some Cape Cod if you find that necessary. (Snow pictures are by Dave Murphy)
