My wife saw me rummaging around this morning looking for one of my Tactical Frogs to wear. "It's out on the wall where you put it last week," she said. I put many of my solar watches out on the wall to get a really good charge every month or so. This one should run for quite a while after 8 days in the sun. :-)

I put my solar watches on an inside window sill. If a human did not find a free watch outside my house, I'm sure a raccoon might take it.

My G-Shocks sit inside a large south-facing bay window but they don't charge the same as when sitting outside. My GPS Rangeman is an energy hog and comes with an accessory USB charger. In spite of being solar, the accessory charger is the only way to get it back to 100%. I've seen a few blue-jays standing on the ledge looking at my watches, but I think they're too heavy for them to lift. Raccoons, being nocturnal, haven't been a problem, and they'd have to get past him ... Attachments:

I use the USB powered Coolfire charger for mine. Works really well.

Funny, I’ve done the same thing with my solar watches. I didn’t realize the Frog was solar. I like the solar watches, but they can be a pain to keep charged when not worn every day.

I've used with my Eco Drive, Seiko and Casio solar watches. They sit face-down on one of two rubber rings -large or small and the lights charge them. Very bright LED's do the job quite effectively.

Didn't know Tactical Frog used Solar movements! Cool!I have my Eco Drives and Solar in glas top boxes in a window sill. Never a problem. I wouldn't want to put attractive easy take away items where I live, it's to density populated here...

Lucky the watch didn't get pinched! 30 years on the wall, and all's been well.

That should be fully charged for sure! I always keep my solar watches on the table in the living room with the light that comes on for 4 hours every night. Casio and Eco-Drive watches never give me a problem, but I have two Seiko solar watches that are dead. They would never stay charged. That's what I get from buying them from the department store close-out case.
