It is a steaming pile of Chinese fake, no doubting.

Now this thing was seriously late in delivery by about 7 weeks. I complained and was fully refunded last month. So really it is a freebie right now.
Besides the cosmetics, and those will be addressed with side-by-side photos with a genuine Blue Angels chrono, the stinky details are:
- Faux slide-rule that doesn't move
- Case is fully not similar
- Not solar powered
- No world time zone feature
- Faux 24 hour subdial is really the chrono minutes totalizer
- No 1/20 second chrono, only times to second
- Upper subdial is a redundant chrono seconds hand. It starts moving with the main chrono seconds hand.
- Lower subdial is the timekeeping seconds hand. Real watch uses the center seconds hand for that (multi-mode movement)
- Most certainly a base-metal case. Even though the markings say steel back, it also lies about being a Citizen. I don't trust that.
- Nearly zero lume
- Mis-aligned central chrono seconds hand. I already tested to see if it has a zeroing mode like better quartz movements have. The hand would have to be re-set.
- No day-of-week feature
- Not radio-controlled
Now that said, it is a fairly nice leather strap. Almost worth the purchase price of the watch. Almost. Have to grind off the Fake Citizen engraving on the buckle. The chrono actually has a split-time feature. I don't believe the Genuine Citizen does that. However the minute totalizer is entirely mechanically coupled to the chrono seconds and it is humorous to watch the 2 subdials spinning backwards to "unscrew" the chrono time.
Now how does the color match up to the Genuine Blue Angels? It doesn't. Not really close at all.
A Genuine Citizen Blue Angels world-chrono will feature:
- Solar Eco-Drive powered movement
- Radio-controlled atomic-time set
- Quick time-zone change
- Sweeping central seconds hand for normal timekeeping
- Day of week indicator on lower subdial
- A quick check of time zone, charge condition, and success of last time radio-synch by pushing the lower chrono button
- Instant change to chronograph mode by pressing the upper chrono button
- A functioning slide-rule operated by the crown on left side
- Color graphic case-back
- All stainless steel
- Sapphire crystal
- Bracelet version has solid links and machined clasp
- Officially licensed
I have not worked up the nerve to pry the back off for a shot of the movement. It will happen another day. There will be a video coming where I plan to do some real-world testing of things like water resistance, scratch resistance, shock resistance (may have to finish with that one).
