Enicar special edition 150 Year Jubilee made in 2004. One of the watches I bought from Reto's PMWC store - with Helen Wong handling the sales transactions. It's patterned after their famous Sherpa line of field and explorer watches with modern, upscale materials such as a domed sapphire crystal . Powered by an ETA 2836-2, it has a unique horizontal day window above the date. Trivia Question: Where did the name, "Enicar" come from?

That is one great looking watch. Love the design and color. The name is Racine backwards, another watch company. But forgot the history of why. Well it looks like a lucky day with the worst of the stormy weather going just West of my location. But will have to go food shopping with the Marine Diver. Bob

Wow yeah, that date on that watch, that's something else John. The whole outlook is something else, very legible also, nice sword hands. I really have to check out your collection!
Today a watch that (sorry Marcel) after years in my possesion, will change place for the coming (tomorrow, it is said!) Samurai!

Radial brushed blue dial and micro-graduated minutes ... my kind of watch. Who knew Enicar ever made a sapphire glassed watch. Holy cow. I will have to dig out the Enicar from the watch collection, though it was from eBay and not Reto. The freight from Helen Wong was amazing. I once ordered a watch late on Monday and it was in Fort Worth on Thursday. No one ships faster than that. Seiko Prospex ... same-oh same-oh

I once ordered a watch late on Monday and it was in Fort Worth on Thursday. No one ships faster than that. Seiko Prospex ... same-oh same-oh Thanks Kent. The Prospex is always a good one! Enicar pulled out all the stops in making their 150 yr. special edition. I was drooling over it for several months saving up the watch money for it. Just looked at their current catalog. The online prices in it for their mechanical pieces are in some of the Rado and Longines territory. I believe they're using Sellita movements now. They have zero presence in North America that I could find, have a number of online dealers on your side of the Pacific Pond. I think about Helen occasionally and wonder what happened with her after the 2014 tragedy. IIRC she had a store in Hong Kong - at least that's where I thought it was located. Don't think it was in Thailand. Reto complained about Thai postal service. The shipping was phenomenally fast. I was amazed by it. PMWC was the online source for Sandoz HK and Sandoz Singapore in North America.

I love everything about your Enicar, John. Awesome blue dial! The family name of the company's founder, Racine, backwards. I think because someone had already trademarked Racine. I'm back to this Seiko 5. I'm way more into my small watches now, and Seiko 5 is still a lot of watch for under $100. I love this dial and hands. And the lume glows like a Seiko diver! I need to get a shot of it. Enicar special edition 150 Year Jubilee made in 2004.

That's a nice watch, Johan, but it's time to upgrade. I can't wait to see your Samurai! Wow yeah, that date on that watch, that's something else John. The whole outlook is something else, very legible also, nice sword hands. I really have to check out your collection!

The Arrowhead dial is probably my favorite in that Hemel series. I love the frosty sandblasted case, too. Good ones everybody! Hemel Arrowhead for me today.
