Continuing the 1970's vintage theme . . . just before the 1970's Feb 1969 Seiko 5 6119A
Difference between this and the earlier 6119C is the day and its quickset which is only one language and required rocking back and forth around midnight to quickset the day. Date is done by pushing on the crown. Great old 5, John. What's the diameter? Thanks Dan. A quick eyeball with a ruler shows 38mm which is considered "large" for its era.

Good choice. I'm too lazy to change and we have a heat advisory till tomorrow night. Bob Hopefully the heat will be offset by the coolness of that watch!

Okeah again. Maybe not later tonight. Perseid meteor shower peaks tonight, and there is a high-pressure parked right overhead. Barely a cloud in the sky tonight. Jupiter and Saturn are beckoning also... I'm still wearing the watch on a khaki 1-piece 18mm WWII reproduction strap though.

Hit 90 degrees Fahrenheit here. Good to see you back, John! That's a fantastic Air-King.

That khaki looked good! And it's pretty authentic to have a strap that's not a perfect match on a military watch. Good luck catching the stars and planets! Is the comet out of the picture?

Yah, da comet is kaput! I visibly saw some meteors. I do not know if I have photos of any yet. I just set the camera on tripod with the widest lens I have and set it to take exposures every 20 seconds of 15 seconds length. Then with my very longest telephoto lens mounted on the older camera body, I brought the telescope mount into play and started photographing Jupiter and Saturn. I have pretty clear images that include moons of both planets. As a matter of fact after photographing Jupiter a while and switching to Saturn, I focused in a bit sharper. I had to go back and re-shoot Jupiter after I finished with Saturn with the focus better. And lucky for us all, I did not observe any Klingons circling Uranus.

Did you see a black monolithic slab in orbit around Jupiter between a couple of its moons? Been rumors of its existence for 19 years. Both planets have been presenting some decent photo ops for those with clear skies.

Decided to go with an M Force today. Strange, I never bought a M-Force! It's very attractive!

No heat wave here thankfully. Indeed be thankful, and no A/C in the house makes one tired too... Waking up in the morning, one has slept, but still tired...
A beauty of an Oris b.t.w.!

Great combo, Johan! I like that bracelet. I'm just putting a different strap on this Seiko 5 every day. For $100 I got the watch and 6 NATO straps, and I'm having tons of fun. Today it's Bond. James bond. I knew this watch would go with pretty much any strap in the world. One of the reasons I chose it. Very attractive Dan, yes I can think of plenty steps and bracelets for that watch, a fine mesh would look cool too....
