Let me just add a shot of Venus from 8-30-2020. Multi-image layer stack using about 25 exposures. Tried out a new way to interface with the ol' Nikon D7000. DigiCamControl on a PC and connected to the DSLR via a USB data cable. You can view the Live-View on the PC screen instead of the tiny DSLR screen and get that focus dialed in tighter. And nearly every thing that can be controlled by buttons on the camera or options in a menu can be controlled by the software. Only things I see that cannot be accessed fully are the exposure mode dial (M, A, S, P modes) and the switch to turn autofocus on/off. You can slew the autofocus motor manually and leave it as a remote manual focus. Really it is awesome software that is open-source and free.
