Very nice, Jeff- what’s the width of that one? It's a 44mm. Not as big as some I have, but easy for these tired eyes to see. Lol, not bad size wise

Hey! Thought you tossed that aside for a little white Seiko... Alpina always looks good G-Shock for me today... pulling down eavestroughs and soffits (where accessible) I never toss a watch aside! G-Shock should be a good physical labor watch! Why are you pulling down the gutters?! Wasn’t done right before I bought house... all the fascia boards are rotted

I'm investigating the purchase of the bracelet to match. Very classy, Dan! Must be very nice winding that big crown!
Today the watch that broke the perspex of my watch box, because the strap doesn't want to get flat enough to stay away from the top...
I wish some of my hand-wind watches had crowns like this. I have some watches that touch the glass on my watch boxes, but I've never had one break it.

Very nice Dan. Don't remember seeing that one before. The 1970's continue with this Sept. 1979 Seiko SQ housing a 4 jewel 7546 quartz, a mid-tier in its day. Bought it new for the highly legible poire hands and dial style patterned after the RR chronometers. Movement has a trimmer capacitor to allow regulating it. I've been tempted to try it, but it's been accurate enough over the years. Has a battery hatch on its snap-on case back. Would be more trouble than it's worth to me. Regulating a quartz (that can be) is a different ballgame. Don't have a timegrapher capable of measuring its accuracy. They are outrageously expensive. I keep putting in a new battery about every five years and it keeps churning away. Lives up to its advertised battery life if you use a fresh silver cell that isn't at the end of its shelf life. I keep 1.55V silver oxide and 3V lithium watch batteries in a sealed container in the refrigerator. Extends shelf life some, but it doesn't stop the clock (freezer is not good; alkalines are in a desk drawer). Biggest benefit is always knowing where they are when I need one. You weren't around when I got it and wore it for weeks. I really like that RR styling! I'd love a Seiko 5 with that dial.

Running errands at gov't agencies. I really don't like the auto bureau. The time of paying the tax has greater value than the actual tax, times a few thousand people per day. I think they could put the tax thing at the customer service counter of a food store, or maybe an atm style kiosk. Meanwhile, at the immigration bureau, foreigners giving demeaning advice is not on the menu. Always nice to see the Alpinist, Kent. Great movie quote as well.

I wouldn't be in a rush there Dan. That baby could be a strap monster! I love the OEM strap and haven't been tempted to change it. Maybe I'll look into that much cheaper option.

That’s unfortunate, Captain... still a great watch you’re wearing

Makes me miss my RR approved 218 Accutron.
