Have you been hiding that baby Marcel? Very nice young man! Thanks, Russ... it’s been at the watchmaker’s. Underwent a crownandtubeotomy. Just got it back yesterday. That sounds painful....nice to see it has recovered.

Nicely done Johan! I like the bracelet on it. The 1970's draw to a close with my father's Radio Shack Realtime digital chronograph. He acquired it some time around 1979 as he had it and wore it when I was visiting him on leave in early 1980 - and it obviously wasn't new. Inherited it with his two other watches, one of which was his father's, when he passed away from cancer four years later in 1984. His buying one of these fit right in with his personality. Programming and operation is very intuitive. Has an inset setting button that scrolls through month, date, hour, minute, etc. Right side buttons work like you'd expect a chrono with interim time and lap feature to work to start, stop and clear the stopwatch. Button on the left side lights up a micro wheat lamp to illuminate the LCD when there's not enough ambient light to dark to read it. Overuse is a battery burner as you might expect. It's powered by a low profile 381/391 Ag 2O cell. The watch head is very thin; only 5.7mm with an equally thin 1.5mm bracelet. Fold-over clasp with hook is the same as commonly used on mesh bands. Gold plated, as was typical for him and it's wearing through. Not too noticeable with the brass case, but it is noticeable around the edges on the stainless steel bracelet. It's been more durable than the chromed brass was on the LCD from yesterday.

Looks great, Johan! I didn't know it had a red dot on the top crown. I put this ZRC bracelet on my Hemel, and I think it looks good. I've found a lot of cool straps and bracelets in my search the past couple months. Dan, that watch looks like serious trouble! Veeeeery Thanks, Marcel! It's a good one. And it's wearing great on this bracelet.

Just a simple Maratac SR-3 tonight. Sweet! does the indice at “12” have significance for the watch? The shape is certainly different.
