The Aircraft Graveyard in Tucson, AZ.
And the part that makes me cry on the inside...
Now I do actually know that those B-52's were chopped apart purposefully to comply with nuclear arms treaties with Russia, and left there to be photographed by spy satellites to verify compliance. But it's like looking at dead soldiers on a battlefield.
Well here are a few that have been spared the indignity.

Google earth is certainly fun for poking around like that. I usually go for the historical attractions. It never occured to me to flyover these types of things. Very interesting.

I was so dazzled by the F-16s in the last screen grab that I didn't notice the pair of U2 near the top.

Yeah, but all those B-52 parts, even from the chopped ones, are going to keep the active fleet in service for another 30 years.
Very cool that you can see such detail! Does Google Earth Pro require a subscription?

Does Google Earth Pro require a subscription? No subscription. It is an app to download to your PC from Google. It's the online Google Earth website but many more features. You can even explore the Moon and Mars with it. It uses 3D estimation for a street-view where there is no actual street-view photography to display. And for my photography I can use it to set a date and time to check alignment of the sun or moon in the sky for a photograph. It's only been around for 15 years or so I estimate.

Oh, heck, I remember that! I had it on my last PC. Time to get it for this one.
