This nice Retangula Rdunae "6105-8000" came on a nice, very period appropriate, tropical rubber strap . . . Rubber straps are OK, but I prefer steel. The challenge has been finding a 19mm bracelet (or a 20mm that could be readily modified to fit). A WatchGecko 19mm rice beads arrived this evening and the Retangula has new shoes . . .

Looking good there, John! Personally, I don't mind rubber straps, especially today since it's supposed to get back to the 90s. Going with Ginger today.

Ah, so the Retangula has the same lug size as the Uemura: 19 mm! That sets it apart from all later homages which do 20 mm! Beads of rice makes a great bracelet indeed There seems to be one specially made for the Samurai, but I don't know if that looks right with the edges of the Samurai. This one fits nice with the rounded turtle case.
