I took a fall on ice this morning at my first job of the day. My left knee is jacked-up. I was walking across a long driveway to service 3 printers. There was light snow overnight so the ice underneath was hidden. Right foot slipped out, left stayed in place. I fell straight down as my left knee and leg bent underneath me. Both my arms were loaded with gear. Left knee nearly felt like it broke for a few seconds. I was eventually helped up by the plant manager there and a worker. I was screaming in pain. When I was sure I could walk, I did continue in and do the job. But I reported what happened to my employer and went home after to put the knee on ice. It has swollen some, and the kneecap is scraped and scabbed-up now. But this is nowhere near as bad as the fall that I had last year that put me out of work for a couple of weeks and crippled me for weeks after. I'm just still wearing my Seiko solar that I always wear for work. All of it's scratched and dinged glory. Don't worry, I have another quartz yet for tomorrow. This is my first new photo in years of this watch (been wearing it daily for 10 years or so). I have my photo studio set up to be easily used sitting down with a mirrorless camera. Oh Chris, what is it with you, always those accidents and sicknesses! I pray that you feel soon much better! My tip: make sure you get shoes and soles with way more grip. Cool work Seiko!

Hope you feel better, Johan. That's a cool toothy bezel, and it's shrouded, too. I'm wearing The Original Mako, and probably going to wear it for a while as I try different straps. Today is plain navy blue textured leather. Thanks my friend, we decided to stay in for this weekend. Monday we must have the car serviced, Tuesday hopefully a 'new' (3rd hand) coffee table is brought from a seller in The Hague on his way further east. I expressed heavy interest in it, as it is exactly the wood we have in our living room, which is a bit out of date nowadays (beech) but is still to our liking. The old one is pretty much damaged and square, while the 'new' one is way nicer and rectangular and skinnier. Hope it all works out. I didn't want to go, because of the distance and gas prices. The last time we went, I wanted to pick up my new speakers. Well then, when someone offers to bring it, I'll pay him extra for the effort. Anyway, I like the Mako, but am more interested in their "Beasts".

Geez Louise, Chris....that sounds like a very nasty fall. Sure could have been a lot worse I suppose. Keep drinking that milk Love the beater and a great shot btw.
