Got home after a rather toasty 12hr road trip from Vancouver last night/this morning. Arrived around 01:30am this morning. I say toasty because the AC in my car doesn't work ;( Have to admit that although I took two watches with me, I only wore the Zodiac and I enjoyed to "bonding" experience. Nice to have choice again! Sure gonna miss this view from my bedroom window.

Hey Russ, where did you find a stick in a Canadian forest that has not been burned to ashes? I'm wearing the Trias of terrific timers.

Very cool watch, Johan! The bracelet looks like it was made for it. Poljot Buran chrono for me today. Definitely a Hanhart homage. THIS is the size crown that hand-wind watches should have. Even my numb pepperoni fingers can easily wind it. I even easily advanced the date with the repetitive 11p-1a back and forth.

But never for a long drive. I don't even think you can buy a car without air conditioning anymore. My hand-me-down junker Suburban had air conditioning, but before I got it, the family was going somewhere in the summertime, and the belt screamed and the AC compressor seized up. And my first new car was an Escort that didn't have any luxuries except a 5-speed instead of 4-speed, and a cassette player. But it got 45mpg on the highway at 60mph/100kph.
Great Halios! It's kind of nice to just have one watch for a while, isn't it?

Not sure if I follow but I suspect you're referring to previous seasons of really bad forest fires out in this neck of the woods. Thankfully, the Gulf Islands had been spared previously and overall, this season is nowhere as severe.

Thanks big guy and yeah, it's nice to have my own bed back. I'm debating getting a refurbished AC unit installed because I have another road trip in the works. Either I go for it or bring a package of Depends with me I have to admit that it's nice to focus on something other than watches for a change so yeah, it was a nice change! Love that Ruskie btw..

Thanks, Russ! How does it compare to your Hanhart? Depends to catch the sweat? That's why I sometimes just wear one watch for a week or so. Of course, with my ridiculously large collection, I'm always trying to wear all my watches before the year's over. I think I'm going to sell watches once I get to a year without buying, and only allow purchases funded by sales. I really need to pare down the number I have.

We had to drive mostly with the windows open, not something I would like to do again. Glad it wasn't that hot, because already evening. Closing the windows was not an option though... Pretty watch and lake view!

I am seeing these popping up on eBay all the time, for incredible but ridiculous prices...
