So, I decided that I could spend the money I would have spent on cigarettes over two months on a watch. Fortunately, my new interest in smaller watches meant I had a much more affordable group to choose from. So I've been shopping for Seiko 5s for the past few days, and I chose this one for several reasons. First, it will kind of replace a Seiko 5 that I sold but miss, which had a white dial and black hands. I also like the dimensions of this model. The case is 38mm, so larger than your average 5, and the lugs are 20mm, so I have tons of straps that will work on it. Here's the old Seiko 5 that I miss. I actually tried finding one first, but had no luck. Attachment Deleted

New one looks great even if it's not identical to the old one. The cost to health is first and foremost. The cost of buying coffin nails is the second impact. When I quite ten and a half years ago in February 2010, it was costing me about $215 per month. Now, it would cost me at least $300 per month, if I could find them at the state's minimum legal retail price (varies significantly by specific type within each brand).

Thanks, Marcel. They're very different, but they have a similar feel to me. Looks good! Both with differing types of pilot hands. Great choice!

Definitely! Thanks for that reinforcement of my decision to quit. Old cigarettes are a horrible thing. I bet it smells a lot better than 2 months worth of cigarettes too! ::smiley15 (2)::

Thanks, John! I was only smoking about 6 or 7 packs a month, but that was still more than $50. It's stupid to spend so much to ruin your health.
