I got a notification from the post office that they were looking into it, and then sat in my chair to watch TV, and what should I see on the porch but a box? Don't mark it delivered if it isn't delivered, yuh boneheads! I'm quite impressed. First of all, I love the small, simple packaging. No wasted material or space. For the price, this has all the features! 200m water resistance, lumed ceramic bezel, Seiko NH36 movement, sapphire crystla, signed crown, solid link screwed bracelet with solid end links. It even came with a jewelers screwdriver for sizing the bracelet. Of course I didn't need to size it, since it fits my freakish wrists with one micro-adjust hole left. The best thing is the yellow dial! I expected a flat yellow, but it's actually an iridescent yellow that looks beautiful! Overall it's an excellent watch for the money, and I'm enjoying the smaller size. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend an Islander.

Wonderful surprise! Watch looks terrific! Some really good lume going on Thanks, Marcel! I really like it. Especially the size! I have too many big watches, and this is a nice change. Plus, I'm just amazed at the dial. It's beautiful!

That's a nice yellow on a nice watch. I'm overjoyed you got it. But I have been victimized by the false delivery on the tracking too. I wonder if the letter carrier scans the wrong package and cannot undo the scan once it's done. Another thing I am noticing about USPS lately is that all my parcels in boxes bigger than the mailbox are delivered separately by another person in the late afternoon now. I guess that makes things more secure against porch piracy.

A great day indeed. They did a fine job of making that their own diver. Enjoy. Bob

Congrats Dan! looks great!! I've had letter mail in the mailbox with the box on the porch. Also had separate delivery of parcels from the letter mail, sometimes at different times.

This ticks so many boxes for me, apart from the size that is to small for me. A SII NH36, sapphire crystal, quality finish, THAT BRACELET! Still for me un-comprehensible that Seiko makes a quality Sumo and Samurai and solid bracelets with this horrible cheapie die-cut tin lock on it.. Very Seiko unworthy! Congrats Dan!! Oh, and yes, we have PostNL doing letterbox mail and Parcel mail on different occasions as well by different delivery services. Usually monday's no letter box mail. Apart from that there is UPS in the brown vans, just like the USA, DHL (the Germans) plus a bunch of others and one can have stuff delivered at a pick up location as well, usually for cheaper rating.

Thanks, Johan! The exact same watch is available in 43mm size as well. Exactly the same specifications. I just have too many large watches, and I needed something different.

Gorgeous. Marc did a great job on that one. It makes me want to break out the old SKXA35.
