with a 1983 Bulova Super Seville - ETA 2834-2 AutomaticThis one seriously irked the famous Swiss luxury watch company - to the extent Bulova changed it in later models to make it look just enough different that it wasn't a shameless clone. Reto used to have a couple of the latter ones for sale on his PMWC sales site, which is where I bought this (from Reto) in June 2006. It was one of the numerous NOS he scrounged up in the Far East. Dated it by opening the back and looking at the Bulova date code inside the watch (P3). Turned out to be older than I had thought.

I like it, the fact it is not a R****, is a plus to me, but it would probably more affordable for me with a Japanese automatic inside... Talking about cloning watches, I wear a SEIKO (baby) tuna, while there has been built a complete industry to clone....Seiko's in China!

Morning all! Made it to Fort Wayne, Indiana last evening. Spending a few days here visiting my brother and the girlfriend's sister. Switched to this Hemel today. One of the places I haven't been in IN. Have been in many places around the road Indy to South Bend. Bro in law lived in Noblesville (now in Indy), other bro in law in Logansport, I shopped in Kokomo, slept in South Bend, churched in Elkhart...
Nice Hemel btw, have a nice stay in IN Jeff!

It is a great looking watch. Put the Islander on a black silicone strap. It looks great in black! I like the nice sharp lugs. I really want an Isophrane to put on it, but I don't know about spending $130 on a strap. Anybody know of a cheaper alternative?
