I'm not the first on the block, and I could be near the last to get theirs. But it finally arrived earlier this week. The ØKS (or Axe in English) by Valhalla. Norwegian company that seems to be fans of vikings. This is my first NH-35 movement, and it was a contributing reason for me to jump in to buy this. I like the size. Not sure if the crown guard makes it more like 43mm, but the lugs are short and it wears similar to my Bulova Snorkel. The bezel does rotate. The red dot is lumed. Sapphire crystal, of course. The styling is inspired from a battle axe, including some intentionally machined in battle scars on some parts of the case. 20mm lugs. The rustic strap compliments except I think it needs leather tail-keepers instead of the metal ones they used. I did not get the bonus mesh strap since I did not purchase from kickstarter. I preordered from the web site. There are just so many cool little details that reveal themselves. I don't remember what the rune at 5 means. Yes apparently the logo and script on the dial is lumed, but you cannot see it with your eyes. Only my photos revealed the faint glow.* The rune is a bit tough to see also. I have better lumers, but also much worse. That is a Norway flag on the back. And I learned through this process that I do not have the temperament for Kickstarters.
* I tested with UV light later and the logo / dial print has no luming. It is simple reflection of light in photo studio.

Great watch- I didn’t realize that the mesh was a Kickstarter bonus. The strap suits it well and the battle scars Congrats on this one!

Beautiful Uggs, sorry Øks (almost same way of pronouncing in "Norge", but with sharper "k") I really like the details indeed.

Wow, what a review and great photos! I can see why you and Jeff were attracted to this microbrand. Cool touches indeed.
