Traveling day today. No rain here yet, but I expect to run into it at some point. I'm joining Marcel with my Dan Henry. Love the Dan Henry compressor.

Safe travels, Jeff! Another Dan Henry 1970 diver! You guys are killing me! Is that a 44mm version? It must be out of stock. I don't see it on their website. Pull up the Dan Henry 1970 and it will allow you the 44mm option Thanks, Marcel, but I would go with the 40mm if I did buy one. I need to lower the average diameter of my collection.

That’s fine, cause the 40mm wears like a charm. The lume is fabulous!

I think Dan will be up to it, Marcel. Love that watch. I'm getting the same rain, or course. It's been thundering since around midnight, and I stayed up really late watcing storms and waiting for a good, scary one. They all stayed slightly to the north, so it was mostly heaving rumbling with an occasion boomer. I am of course honeymooning with the Bulova Lunar Pilot. What a cool watch! I have it set to the atomic time signal, and the battery's fresh, so I'm going to be keeping track of how much it varies. It should be the most precise watch in my collection. I'm spending my time starting and stopping and resetting the chronograph. The lever-style push have an awesome click when actuated. You'll like the 262kHz. I've got four of them. Not quite as accurate as Bulova claims but still about 5-10x compared to a 32khz quartz depending on how good the 32kHz is; some of the higher end of those have regulating trimmers. Accuracy improves a bit if you wear it daily as it's warmer on your wrist than in a watch box. If stored at room temperature they run a little bit faster. My 196kHz Seiko perpetuals are a little more temperature sensitive than the Bulovas. Why? Quartz Xtals expand and contract with temperature just like nearly all other materials. They contract when cold and vibrate faster. When warm they expand and vibrate slower.

We had bad weather (storm) tuesday night and wednesday most of the morning. Yesterday was a quiet day, not hot, but mild ± 20ºC/68ºF. I was wearing my Sharkey (Heimdallr) bronze tuna. I like the watch and the finally found perfect strap, but dislike I bought a "bronze" buckle for quite an amount (just shy of price for real bronze buckles) that was a fake bronze buckle, probably stainless or iron with a PVD coating. Anyway, I love the Dan Henry and who knows, there might be one in my future one day.

The bezel patina is looking good! It's an old picture, really need to make some recent ones. It's darker now...
