Big Pilot and Marathon today here. Have a great da), everybody! Two cool watches! How thick is the Marathon? What a day. The rest of this paragraph is dull exposition, so feel free to skip. I go to bed late, because, well, who's gonna stop me? Around 2:30 or 3:00 this morning I began to get ready for bed, and I noticed I was chilly. Checked the thermostat and the temp was two degrees below the set temperature. I clicked it up a few degrees and nothing happened. I figured out that my furnace was not working at all! I spent a few hours researching and peering into the guts of the furnace. Nothing. Around 5:30 I called the furnace company (who installed it two years ago) and they couldn't get anyone out until between 12 and 5. I was P.O.ed, and the temperature was dropping. I put on a jacket and a hat, and waited. It got down to around 60°F, and I decided to wash some dishes to warm up my hands. Now, I have an on-demand water heater, and a condensate pump for the water heater and AC. While I was washing dishes, the pump came on, and the furnace immediately started. I did some research (with some nice warm heat) and found that the condensate pumps for high efficiency furnaces have a float valve that will turn the furnace off if it starts to flood. I do not have a high efficiency furnace! But it seemed like the problem. When the techs got here, I told them what I thought, and they verified that the pump was the problem. Couldn't figure out why, but they replaced the pump under warranty, and rewired it so that a float valve issue will not shut off the furnace. They had wired it up like I had a high efficiency furnace. I have had no sleep since Sunday night. Boy, wasn't that boring? Anyway, everything's working, and I didn't have to pay. There are watches scattered around my bedroom and office. This one caught my eye today. Glycine Airman SST-12. I need a personal assistant. The Airman is da bomb! My stepdaughter has a similar problem in a “Quality Living” apartment. Furnace cut out in a building not much older than the Pandemic… it sucks.

Fine wine Invicta! Yup and the fine wine season is there! Since we slowly but surely diminished our alcohol intake (not on purpose, it just happened and it also happens we fall asleep in front of the TV!) , I noticed already a small buzz, after one large glass the other day. Still have a couple of boxes with 75 cl and 1 liter bottles of California and German Dornfelder. Also some white, rosé and Champenoise. Can take a while before we are trough those! During the day: Tea, coffee and back to tea in the evening usually.

Nothing's worse than having no heat when winter finally arrives. I hope they got it fixed and she's back to being comfortable. I feel a bit more control, since I own this shack, and the system was warranted for 6 years.
