Big Pilot and Marathon today here. Have a great day, everybody! Oooh, that Marathon! We finally had some serious frost last night (to our standards, that is) and the next 2 nights again. I had to empty my rain barrel, but I wonder it will freeze a 200 liter in 2 or 3 nights with -5ºC?? Some watering cans with water only had a few millimeters of ice on it after 1 night... To be sure, I emptied out the whole barrel. Thursday and Friday, the temps will rise again and rain will start.... In that case, that barrel is full in no time...
Bronze today:

Bronze today: I’ve had rain barrels crack with negligible amounts of water in them, so probably best to empty it. Great bronze- the bezel is great!

Big Pilot and Marathon today here. Have a great da), everybody! Two cool watches! How thick is the Marathon? What a day. The rest of this paragraph is dull exposition, so feel free to skip. I go to bed late, because, well, who's gonna stop me? Around 2:30 or 3:00 this morning I began to get ready for bed, and I noticed I was chilly. Checked the thermostat and the temp was two degrees below the set temperature. I clicked it up a few degrees and nothing happened. I figured out that my furnace was not working at all! I spent a few hours researching and peering into the guts of the furnace. Nothing. Around 5:30 I called the furnace company (who installed it two years ago) and they couldn't get anyone out until between 12 and 5. I was P.O.ed, and the temperature was dropping. I put on a jacket and a hat, and waited. It got down to around 60°F, and I decided to wash some dishes to warm up my hands. Now, I have an on-demand water heater, and a condensate pump for the water heater and AC. While I was washing dishes, the pump came on, and the furnace immediately started. I did some research (with some nice warm heat) and found that the condensate pumps for high efficiency furnaces have a float valve that will turn the furnace off if it starts to flood. I do not have a high efficiency furnace! But it seemed like the problem. When the techs got here, I told them what I thought, and they verified that the pump was the problem. Couldn't figure out why, but they replaced the pump under warranty, and rewired it so that a float valve issue will not shut off the furnace. They had wired it up like I had a high efficiency furnace. I have had no sleep since Sunday night. Boy, wasn't that boring? Anyway, everything's working, and I didn't have to pay. There are watches scattered around my bedroom and office. This one caught my eye today. Glycine Airman SST-12. I need a personal assistant.
