There were considerable discounts at Ali the last 4 days and I was watching several interesting bronze watches. Thinking like, will I replace my Sharkey (Heimdallr) for a Heimdallr or Steeldive branded Bronze one with a green dial? Will I go for another Proximus Tuna with a cool dial? Or wil I try one of these new bronze models, but most of them are not really affordable... Then all of a sudden I found this one which with all the discounts came for around € 104 which is a steal off course, but I suspected it was bait. The exact same watch was sold by other sellers for around $ 185....
Because: The other day I thought I bought a set of Bluetooth earphones/pods for less then 3 euro, and 10 minutes later seller cancelled it. He came back with the same stuff for 10 euro's more a little while later.
And just as I feared. The seller cancelled it, because it was not in stock. I told him, I could wait (with this price in mind) so send it to me, as soon it would be in stock. But seller offers me a free strap worth $ 20 if I would cancel this one and buy another (more expensive) watch in his shop. I saw another watch, that interested me too, as it is actually a copy of my Sumo, (Steeldive Greenmarine) but in bronze with a bronze bezel inlay! I could have it for $ 170, instead of $ 186, but I could already buy it with all the discounts for € 144! He urged me to cancel the first watch, and then would reimburse me the $ 16, but he did not say how...
Well, the watch and the strap I already bought for it, I cancelled, still waiting for the payback on my creditcard though, and I still wasn't sure this was, what I ultimately wanted. The Sumo is a sort of watch, that needs to be shiny steel and polished and is not something that would look so good with patina, in my humble opinion, though it would be interesting to see them side by side...
Plus I don't trust this seller anymore... Offering watches for a huge discount and then: not in stock, so sorry...
I decided to look further and found one of my favourite watches I saved a while ago... That is still there and people are praising the watch and seller very high... Plus I could get it with a green dial, which I always wanted on a bronze watch, plus it comes with a real bronze buckle and an extra free leather strap! All and all it was just € 10 more, but with strap and bronze buckle made it just perfect. Didn't wait any longer as now, today the prices have gone back to normal, about a € 36 difference.
And, yes, this is a watch that John mentioned somewhere else, with a special dial, but that makes it way more expensive and I wanted a green dial anyway.
