Bulova Champlain 262kHz Precisionist HAQAbout the same size as the new Aragon at just about 48mm dia. without the crown, and 16mm thick. Smaller than the Androids from the past two days. Not as heavy which means less steel and more spacer inside. Blatant faux diver in spite of screw down crown and 300m water resistance. Bezel cannot rotate for two reasons. - Crystal, bezel and top of case are curved, and
- Even if the bezel was flat, the bolt heads would prevent it.
Spent most of yesterday at the vet with a very sick 14 year-old cat. Dramatically fast weight loss along and lethargy with eating very little kibble. Waiting on blood and urine test results today, which took quite a while for them to get from her yesterday. Got some wet food that she's lapping up, but still needs to eat more. At least she's drinking water. Spending time getting her to eat more food every few hours. The challenge is keeping the 13 year old alpha male away while she's getting some of the wet food and having to put him in the "catabozo" (his calabozo) while she's eating it. At 14 years, she's an older cat, but has been extremely healthy until now. Truly sorry to hear about the cat- hope you find something tho help. Great Precisionist! Going with the White Whale today.... How do you find these awesome vintage watches, Marcel? You must search the sales forums and auctions every day.

Morning all! Another taking it easy vacation day. I really needed the time off after everything going on this year. Orient Ray today. Looks good in blue, Jeff. Almost as good as the Mako.

You must search the sales forums and auctions every day. I literally would like to buy everything that catches my fancy, Dan. I have to weigh the price vs work needed for the piece. I’ve gotten some amazing deals...

John, hope the cat is able to recover from it's ailment. I brought out a blue and silver dial just 6 days ahead of WDD. Actually had to set the time today. I also needed to change the CR2032 cell in my Maratac mid-pilot since I noticed it doing 4 ticks at once this morning, then 8 ticks (2 seconds) jumps tonight. How far had the time wandered? My Russian watches were often the least accurate. But so worth it! The Maratac has nervous ticks. My new Bulova ticks twice per second!

I hope your kitty is OK, John. I have two sisters, Laverne and Shirley, and they're 15 1/2. They were healthy except for bladder stone problems until early this year. Now Laverne has kidney failure, and she's super skinny. I have to give her food mixed with aluminum hydroxide. She gets a spoonful whenever she asks. Fortunately, Shirley likes her naps and doesn't bother her when she's getting her extra food. I'm doing my best, but I don't know how much longer she's going to keep going. Right now she's eating and drinking and napping in my recliner, and seems content and happy, and as long as she's not in distress I'll keep doing what I'm doing. She's also decided to pee on the floor in the laundry room, instead of in the box. Which is fine. I just mop it up every day, and the kidney problems make her urine very dilute, so It doesn't really have an odor. The hard part about pets is when they get old and sick and die. My goal has been to outlive them, so nobody has to adopt old cats. So far, so good! My cancer is still cowering in my lower back and going nowhere. Islander back on the bracelet today. I'm in love with this iridescent yellow dial! It is a great dial Thanks, Marcel! I'm so glad I trusted my gut and got yellow, instead of another blue.

It fell behind about 2-3 minutes. I was winding every other day, but I think I wound on Saturday morning and did not wind again until after work Monday. I believe I caught it right near the end of power reserve and maybe had stopped for a very short while. Otherwise it had been staying ahead of correct time, within the minute.

Yep, it would be about the end of its reserve. Winding and setting is fun! We get to interact with our watches.

Thanks to everyone for the kind remarks. Another three hours at the vet's office (huge line) after call from vet with round one of the blood testing. Doing round two of blood tests plus starting antibiotics and an appetite stimulant. Blood work results come back by Friday. She's getting more food in but need to increase intake. Coming out more and doing a few more feline things while avoiding the big alpha male (who has been banished to the catabozo a couple times). It was a long day for her and me.
