Well it would appear that winter has finally arrived....presently -19C with a forecast low of -33C on Friday. It was nice while it lasted.Thought I'd go with Mr Crusty today as it's been a while.

You gotta expect that living in The Great White North, eh. Coo loo coo coo, coo coo coo coo!! Mr. Crusty is looking crustilicious. Stay warm! We have a "winter storm" coming that is supposed to drop rain and a few inches of slushy snow. Yech. Seiko SNZH23 is still on my wrist again. This is one of the best looking watches in my collection, IMHO. Went for a drive in my new Trax. Chevy should sell a load of these. For what I paid, it is equipped like a luxury car. It's only available in front wheel drive, but it's basically an affordable economy car made to look like an SUV so 'Murcans will buy it. And the 3 cylinders are proving to be more than adequate. It moves along pretty good! It looks pretty tough, too.

Yeah, that dial and hands had seen better days. I'm going with a Chinese watch whose makers found that it had the right to copy the design from a Swiss company... Anyway, we have freezing weather here too (-1º C) but more tonight and the coming weeks also much more. The good thing is, we are having sun now!It was dry and clear here today. Well, when I started my drive. The overcast moved in while I was drive. Love the Debert! I need to wear mine. It's been a while.

For Snowmeggedon '24 coming tomorrow, I start tonight with my Marathon field watch handwinder. I'll keep everyone updated on all the buildings that explode from the snow barrage. I'll likely stick with this watch on Tuesday also.

The issues I see with that watch are:
Rolex doesn’t make the gold sub with gilt lettering in the dials any longer. They never sold them with the etched type on the rehaut and gilt lettering. If it were a vintage gilt dial sub, it would not have a ceramic bezel. You can’t see the crown etched on the crystal on a real Rolex. It’s very difficult to see on purpose. The lettering etched into the rehaut is not aligned - you would not see that on a real Rolex. The combination of dial, lettering, rehaut, bezel, and crystal etching leads me to believe this is not an authentic Submariner.
